PERSON SUSPECTED OF WAR CRIMES AGAINST PRISONERS OF WAR DEPRIVED OF LIBERTY
16.11.2016. 13:01By order of the Prosecutor of the Special Department for War Crimes, police officers of SIPA arrested a war crimes suspect on 11 November 2016.
The suspect is under investigation of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and is suspected with having committed war crimes against prisoners of war - members of RS Army, while acting in his capacity as member of the 5th Corps of the Army of RBiH.
In the interest of the investigation, the Prosecutor’s Office will not disclose the identity of the suspect.
The suspect is under investigation along with several other persons who participated in the crime and is suspected of having personally killed a prisoner.
Following the arrest, the Prosecutor questioned the suspect and will later decide on further activities within the legal deadline.
