INDICTMENT ISSUED FOR WAR CRIMES COMMITTED IN THE AREA OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF KONJIC

The accused is charged with acting in contravention of the rules of the international humanitarian law and in violation of the provisions of the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons, during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the armed conflict between the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Army of Republika Srpska, in the territory of the Municipality of Konjic, while he was a member of the Army of Republika Srpska.
According to the allegations in the Indictment, the accused is charged with an unlawful imprisonment of one Bosniak woman, in a bungalow in the area of Boračko Jezero /Boračko Lake/ where the camp of the Army of Republika Srpska was stationed, from late June to late July of 1992; there, he raped he every day and subjected her to forced labour, deliberately inflicting great suffering upon her, as well as violating her bodily integrity and health.
The accused Radivoje Soldo is charged with the commission of the criminal offense of War Crimes against Civilians. The Indictment has been forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for confirmation.This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
