INDICTMENT ISSUED AGAINST MILKAN GOJKOVIĆ, ACCOMPLICE OF VESELIN VLAHOVIĆ AKA BATKO, FOR WAR CRIMES COMMITTED IN GRBAVICA NEIGHBOURHOOD OF SARAJEVO

He is accused of acting in violation of the Geneva Convention relative to the protection of civilian persons in time of war, as a soldier of the Republika Srpska Army, during the war in BiH and armed conflict between the Republika Srpska Army and the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in September of 1992, in the territory of the Grbavica neighbourhood of Sarajevo, in Novo Sarajevo Municipality, by committing outrages upon personal dignity by particularly offensive and humiliating actions and by assaulting the dignity of a Bosniak female victim.
He is accused of coming armed to a family house together with Veselin Vlahović aka Batko, a member of the Republika Srpska Army, and two other unknown members of the Republika Srpska Army, in the evening of 29 September 1992, and banging on the door of the house and ultimately entering it to find a husband and wife with their minor daughter there.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
