INDICTMENT ISSUED FOR SMUGGLING OF GOODS
07.11.2014. 15:11- Kulig Lee Michael, born on November 2, 1979 in Houston, Texas USA, residing in Houston, Texas, a citizen of the United States.
The accused is charged with having attempted to transfer an optical sight: "Zrak" - type ON-M76B, across the border without obtaining proper documentation or approval required for export in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Control of Foreign Trade of Goods and Services of Strategic Importance for the Security of BiH, given that the said product is on the List of special use goods.
The optical sight was discovered in the personal luggage of the accused during an inspection at the International Airport in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina on exit from BiH and seized.
The accused is charged with an attempt of transfer goods or items across the border without proper authorization of the competent authority by way of avoiding customs control, thereby committing the criminal offense of Smuggling of Goods under Article 214, Paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 26 of the CC BiH.
The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
