THE ACCUSED RADE ĆORIĆ CONCLUDED A PLEA AGREEMENT
29.09.2014. 14:37The accused Ćorić Rade - born on February 9, 1948 in Sarajevo, residing in Bijeljina, BiH citizen - entered into plea agreement with the Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime Economic Crime and Corruption within the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.
By virtue of signing the agreement the accused fully admitted committing the criminal offense he was charged with by the indictment of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH issued on September 1, 2014. The proposed sentence is in line with the role of the accused in commission of the criminal offense listed in the indictment.
Pursuant to the agreement the Prosecutor proposes that the accused be rendered a suspended imprisonment sentence for a term of 3 (three) months by the Court of BiH stipulating that the sentence will not be executed providing that the accused does not commit another criminal offense within the next year, as well as that the accused undertakes to pay for the costs of the proceedings.
With this agreement the accused confirms that he is aware of the content of the indictment of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH. He also confirms that the plea statement was given voluntarily, knowingly and with full understanding.
Pursuant to this agreement the accused has waived his right to a trial as well as his right to appeal the criminal sanction that shall be rendered to him by the Court of BiH.
The agreement was submitted to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
