MOTION FOR ORDER OF PROHIBITING MEASURES FILED FOR DRAGAN GLOGOVAC (1959)
22.08.2014. 15:02The aforementioned suspect was arrested, pursuant to order of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, by the authorized officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency in the morning of August 20, 2014 and subsequently handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH within the legal time frame.
Glogovac Dragan is under investigation and is suspected to have, as a member of the RS Army, undertaken actions of inhumane treatment and torture of ethnic Bosniak and Croat prisoners, incarcerated in the detention facility "Franjo Herljević" in Kamenica - Zavidovići municipality, together with other soldiers.
Following the questioning of the suspect, the Assigned Prosecutor filed a motion to the Court of BiH for order of prohibiting measures relating to the ban on leaving the place of residence, ban on contact with suspects and witnesses, as well as mandatory daily reporting to competent police authorities in Bijeljina.
The motion for order of prohibiting measures has been submitted to the Court of BiH.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
