This accused person is charged to have acted as an organizer and leader of an organized group of persons formed for the purpose of illicit international smuggling and with the aim of acquiring unlawful property gain and to have coordinated the smuggling of several tens of kilograms of the Marijuana-Skunk narcotic drug from the territory of the Republic of Albania to the territories of the Republic of Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina, during 2012 and 2013, for the purpose of its further smuggling and sale on an illegal market in the Republic of Croatia. 

The narcotic drug was carefully hidden in special, custom-made containers inside the trucks to avoid border controls, for the prearranged sum of money.

According to the collected evidence and investigation results, approximately 100 kilograms of the Marijuana-Skunk narcotic drug were smuggled in this manner, and its value on an illegal narcotics market amounts to several hundred thousand BAM. 

During the search of the truck in question, all the aforementioned Marijuana narcotic drug was found and confiscated, as well as all the mobile phones, SIM cards and other objects significant for proving the commission of the respective criminal offense.

This Indictment is the result of the efforts invested by the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as of the joint parallel investigation with police and judicial authorities of the Republic of Montenegro in the course of which significant international cooperation was achieved.   

The issuance of the respective Indictment sends a clear message to the public and citizens that Bosnia and Herzegovina has strong Prosecution and police capacities well fit to fight the most serious forms of organized crime, as well as that international and regional cooperation of judicial and police institutions is a key to fighting international forms of crime. 

This Indictment, its evidentiary material and statements of Prosecution witnesses have been forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for confirmation.
