THE ACCUSED DUŠAN VASILIĆ CONCLUDED A PLEA AGREEMENT. CRIMINAL SANCTION PROPOSED – ONE YEAR IMPRISONMENT SENTENCE AND A BAM 150.000 FINE

The accused Dušan Vasilić concluded a plea agreement expressing his guilt for the criminal offense of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs under Article 195, Paragraph 3 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The accused Dušan Vasilić - born on August 3, 1976 in Bijeljina where he resides, citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Swiss Confederation – entered into plea agreement with the Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized crime Economic Crime and Corruption within the Prosecutor's Office of BiH. By virtue of signing the agreement the accused Vasilić fully admitted committing the criminal offenses he was charged with by the indictment of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH issued on November 29, 2013 and confirmed by the Court of BiH on December 6, 2013. Pursuant to the agreement the Prosecutor, the Defense Attorney and the Accused agree that the accused be rendered a one (1) year imprisonment sentence by the Court of BiH and an additional sentence in the form of a BAM 150.000 fine which he will have to pay within the deadline of six (6) months. The accused also consents to the forfeiture of a mobile telephone and SIM cards used in commission of the criminal offense as well as proceeds of crime in the amount of € 5.500 and CHF 4.100. The proposed sentence is in line with gravity of the crime and the role of the accused person in commission of the criminal offense. With this agreement the accused confirms that he is aware of the content of the indictment of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH. He also confirms that the plea statement was given voluntarily, knowingly, with full understanding and without coercion or persuasion and he undertakes to pay the costs of the proceedings in the amount determined by the Court of BiH depending on the complexity of the procedure. Pursuant to this agreement the accused has waived his right to a trial as well as his right to appeal the criminal sanction that shall be rendered to him by the Court of BiH. The agreement was submitted to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
