INDICTMENT ISSUED AGAINST GORAN BIJELJIĆ (1978) FOR IMPERMISSIBLE USE OF COPYRIGHTS
25.02.2014. 15:10Prosecutor of Department III within the Prosecutor's Office of BiH issued an indictment against Goran Bijeljić - born on April 12, 1978 in Split, Republic of Croatia, BiH citizen - charging him with the criminal offense of Impermissible Use of Copyrights under Article 243 of the Criminal Code of BH.
The indictment charges Goran Bijeljić to have, during the period starting from 2005 up to September 24, 2013, as the owner of the photo copying shop Z.R."GLS - DESING" based in Prijedor, acted contrary to the Law on Copyright and Related Rights ("Official Gazette of BiH", No. 63/10) by way of using a central processing unit, external hard drive and software FTK Registry VIEWR with the possibility of connecting peripheral devices, to proceed with duplication and printing of textbooks and books by different authors without permission of the author or other copyright holder, or a person authorized give approval under the law of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Significant quantity of textbooks and books by different authors as well as computer equipment was seized with a receipt issued in return. The items seized are filed as evidence with this indictment of the Prosecutor's Office.
The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
