Activities aimed at locating B. H. from Zavidovići, born in 1976, and depriving this person of liberty were carried out in coordination between the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, law enforcement agencies in BiH and its entities and the Ministry of Security of BiH.
  • PERSON SUSPECTED OF SENDING A THREATENING LETTER TO THE INSTITUTIONS OF BIH AND ITS ENTITIES AND INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS DEPRIVED OF LIBERTY

The suspect was deprived of liberty in the afternoon of 20 January 2014, in the territory of Zavidovići, and the deprivation of liberty was carried out by police officers of the Federal Police Department, who had identified the suspect in the course of their investigation.

After the police procedure is completed, the suspect will be handed over to a Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, for further questioning.

Subsequent to his deprivation of liberty, the suspect admitted the commission of the criminal offense in question, whereas further investigation will reveal motives and reasons for sending the threatening letter.

Having taken over the investigation in this case, the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH has worked in coordination with law enforcement agencies of BiH and its entities, as well as with the Ministry of Security of BiH, for the purpose of detecting, locating and arresting this person.

We use this opportunity to tell all the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina that the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and law enforcement institutions have qualified professional capacities for detecting perpetrators of all crimes, and efficient detection and deprivation of liberty of the sender of the anonymous threatening letter merely confirms our statement.
