INDICTMENT ISSUED AGAINST DENIS HODŽIĆ (1974) AND MARIJANA HODŽIĆ (1977) FOR TRAFFICKING IN NARCOTIC DRUGS
30.12.2013. 15:10- Denis Hodžić, born on December 25, 1974 in Rogatica, residing in Sarajevo, BiH citizen, and
- Marijana Hodžić aka "Maja", born on May 20, 1977 in Sarajevo where she resides, citizen of BiH.
The accused are charged to have, on February 17, 2013 after they had acquired the vehicle and hidden the narcotic "Marijuana-Skunk” in a secret compartment in the fuel tank, driven the motor vehicle from the territory of the Republic of Serbia to the border crossing Uvac near Višegrad, where the drug was detected and seized during the control of Border Police and the Hodzićs were detained.
Police officers discovered and seized narcotic drugs packed in 16 packages with a total weight of about 6.8 kilograms, the value of which on the illegal drug market is estimated to dozens of thousands of BAM.
Denis Hodžić has, during the control at the Border Police, presented an invalid Federation Police Department ID and has introduced himself as a police officer. The ID was invalid because the defendant was fired from the Federal Police Department, and his employment was terminated.
The accused persons are charged with the criminal offense of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs under Article 195 of the CC BiH and the accused Denis Hodzic is also charged with the criminal offense of Impersonation.
The indictment, along with the evidence, was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
