PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE OF BIH LAUNCHED AN INVESTIGATION FOR FAILURE TO IMPLEMENT THE "SEJDIĆ-FINCI" DECISION OF THE EUROPEAN COURT OF HUMAN RIGHTS
11.12.2013. 13:44The Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption within the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH issued an order to initiate an investigation against an unidentified perpetrator and is already undertaking certain investigative activities and collecting evidence. The Prosecutor assigned with the case is Oleg Čavka - Prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.
Failure to implement the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights causes immeasurable damages to the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina; prevents the influx of funds from the European Union, as well as the realization of pre-accession assistance projects of the European Union in our country.
Failure to implement this decision constitutes discrimination against citizens of our country.
The Prosecutor's Office of BiH continues its activities in the interest of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina and our country's European course.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
