CHIEF PROSECUTOR OF THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA ATTENDED THE TENTH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF THE OFFICE OF THE WAR CRIMES PROSECUTIOR OF THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA

A film depicting the ten years of work of the Office of the War Crimes Prosecutor of Serbia as well as its activities aiming to shed some light on war crimes and to detect and extradite fugitives to the Hague Tribunal was shown at the reception.
The reception was also attended by the Head of EU Delegation to Serbia - Michael Davenport, U.S. Ambassador in Belgrade - Michael D. Kirby, and the Head of the OSCE Mission in Serbia - Peter Burkhard.
Chief Prosecutors: Vladimir Vukčević, Goran Salihović and Mladen Bajić also held a meeting at the Office of the War Crimes Prosecutor of Serbia where they discussed the strengthening of regional cooperation in the prosecution of war crimes as a very important segment for the process of establishing the rule of law, peace and reconciliation in the region.
A trilateral meeting of the Chief Prosecutors of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Croatia is to be held in Sarajevo on December 16, 2013 where they should discuss the cooperation to date on the basis of the Protocol on Cooperation in the Prosecution of Perpetrators of War Crimes, Crimes against Humanity and Genocide, as well as about specific activities in the process of cooperation in future.
