INDICTMENT AGAINST ISSUED AGAINST SERGIO COSTA (1965)
19.09.2013. 15:20According to the indictment, Sergio Costa has, on April 13, 2012 at 9 P.M. at the IBC Orahovlje located in Ljubuški municipality, on entrance to BIH offered a gift to a responsible person in the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina to abstain from performing an act which ought to be performed within the scope of his/her official powers.
As alleged in the indictment, the accused has, as a driver of a bus with Italian license plates transporting 43 passengers - Italian citizens, approached the premises where the police officer controlled the documents using the reader, and presented his passport, registration documents and travel document containing the list of passengers. The Border Police officer, having noticed that not all necessary travel documents of passengers were there, asked the accused to bring all travel documents, to which the accused said, "not all of the documents" , gestured that he was in a hurry to get to Međugorje and then reached for his wallet and took out two banknotes of 20.00 Euros and placed them on the table in front of the police office so that he would abstain from performing an act which ought to be performed i.e. to abstain from border control of all passengers.
The indictment was forwarded for to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
