INDICTMENT ISSUED AGAINST ILHAN ZAGIĆ (1983)
06.09.2013. 15:13Prosecutor of Department III within the Prosecutor's Office of BiH issued an indictment against Ilhan Zagić, born on April 15, 1983 in Mostar, where he resides, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Ilhan Zagić is charged to have, out of greed, on the evening of June 29, 2013 in the municipality of Ljubuški agreed with four foreign nationals from Kosovo to arrange their illegal transfer to the Republic of Croatia for a fee.
The indictment alleges that Zagić was, in accordance with prior agreement, supposed to transport illegal immigrants to Split for an agreed amount of 350.00 Euros. The immigrants have paid him an advance of 100.00 Euros with an understanding that the remaining amount would be paid after being transported to Split.
The accused has taken the illegal emigrants in his taxi vehicle "Marcedes" with BiH license plates to the international border crossing "Orahovlje" between BiH and the Republic of Croatia, advised them of the back road that would allow them to cross the border illegally on foot and waited for them to cross on the other side with the vehicle. During further travel the accused has, having noticed the Croatian police officers, thrown the smuggled persons out of his vehicle. They ran away and scattered around but were caught the next day by the Police of the Republic of Croatia.
The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
