MOTION FOR REMAND IN CUSTODY FILED FOR THE SUSPECTS ARRESTED WITHIN THE OPERATION CODENAMED

The Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption within the Prosecutor's Office of BiH filed a motion with the Court of BiH for remand in custody of three persons apprehended in yesterday's operation codenamed "Master" . The persons were deprived of liberty by authorized officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency - SIPA with the assistance of the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH, RS MoI, TC MoI and Brčko District Police.

Motion for remand in custody was filed for the suspects K.S. (1969), S.D. (1971) and M.S. (1972) from Srebrenik, BiH citizens.

The Prosecutor's Office of BiH requests the Court of BiH to remand the suspects in custody for a period of one month on grounds specified under Article 132, Paragraph 1, Subparagraphs b) and c) of the CPC BiH i.e. due to risk that suspects could influence the witnesses, co-perpetrators and accomplices as well as due to risk that if released the suspects might repeat the criminal offense.

The listed suspects are charged with the criminal offense of Organized Crime under Article 250 in conjunction with the criminal offense of Tax Evasion or Fraud under Article 210, and Customs fraud under Article 216 of the CC BiH.

Perpetration of these offenses, according to the evidence gathered, caused multi million damages to the budget and the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Motion for remand in custody was submitted to the Court of BiH.
