CHIEF PROSECUTOR MET WITH THE DEPUTY AMBASSADOR OF THE REPUBLIC OF ITALY TO BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA
22.07.2013. 15:19At this meeting, the cooperation of the Government of the Republic of Italy with the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH and other judicial institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina was discussed.
The Chief Prosecutor informed the Deputy Ambassador about the activities of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its future plans with respect to strengthening of the capacities of this Prosecutor’s Office for more efficient combating all types of crime the prosecution of which is in the jurisdiction of Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, and especially about the activities pertaining to combating corruption, more efficient prosecution of war crimes cases and fight against organized crime and terrorism.
Deputy Ambassador Stucci pointed out that the Embassy of the Republic of Italy had always had good cooperation with the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, and that the Government of the Republic of Italy had been rendering significant support to the establishment of judicial institutions of BiH by providing donations and other types of assistance.
The Chief Prosecutor expressed his appreciation for the support rendered and his belief in the continuation of the good cooperation in future, particularly in the segment of future increase in the capacities of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.
At this meeting, further cooperation and support of the Government of the Republic of Italy in establishing and strengthening the rule of law and judicial institutions in BiH was agreed on.
