THE ACCUSED ELSAN HASANOVIĆ (1981) CONCLUDED A PLEA AGREEMENT
03.07.2013. 15:05The accused Elsan HASANOVIĆ – born on October 11, 1981 in Bijelo Polje, Montenegro, citizen of Montenegro - entered into plea agreement with the Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption within the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.
Pursuant to the agreement the Prosecutor, with consent of the accused and his attorney, proposed that the accused Elsan HASANOVIĆ be rendered an imprisonment sentence in duration of 2 (two) years by the Court of BiH. The proposed sentence is in line with the role of the accused in the criminal offense listed in the indictment of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH dated March 12, 2013 that was confirmed by the preliminary hearing judge of the Court of BiH on April 15, 2013.
With this agreement the accused confirms that he is aware of the content of the indictment issued by the BiH Prosecutor's Office. He also confirms that the plea statement was given voluntarily, knowingly and with full understanding of the legal consequences thereof.
By virtue of signing this agreement the accused has pledged to testify before the Court of BiH when summoned.
Pursuant to this agreement the accused has waived his right to a trial and appeal to the criminal sanction that shall be rendered to him by the Court of BiH.
The agreement was submitted to the Court of BiH.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
