CHIEF PROSECUTOR OF THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BIH ATTENDED THE REGIONAL MINISTERIAL CONFERENCE ON THE FIGHT AGAINST ORGANIZED CRIME
12.04.2013. 15:55The central theme of the conference was exchange of experiences and good practices in the fight against organized crime in Southeast Europe, with special emphasis on the fight against corruption.
Chief Prosecutor presented at the conference on the activities in the fight against organized crime.
Apart from general experiences of the countries in the region, specific attention was given to the experiences of the Ministers of Interior, Heads of delegations and representatives of international organizations, whose representatives gave detailed presentations of the situation in their countries regarding the "New Mechanisms of International Cooperation as a Response to New Crime Trends."
Ministers, Prosecutors and Police have exchanged their experiences, in separate sessions, and have discussed the best ways and mechanisms for cooperation.
Chief Prosecutor was one of the representatives of the delegation from Bosnia and Herzegovina at the regional conference. The conference was attended by holders of the highest prosecutorial functions, ministers of justice and interior from several countries of the Western Balkans, representatives of the European Commission and representatives of international organizations.
The event ended with the Summary of Results and Conclusions of the Conference.
