INDICTMENT ISSUED FOR ENDANGERING INTERNATIONALLY PROTECTED PERSONS
03.04.2013. 15:13Department III within the Prosecutor's Office of BiH issued an indictment against M.T. born in 1964 in Kakanj where he resides, a citizen of BiH.
The indictment charges M.T. to have on July 7, 2012, while acting in a state of mental illness, sent a letter by fax to the Embassy of the Republic of Austria, requesting 55.000.00 Euros for alleged damages inflicted by the Republic of Austria, else he will, " turn the criminal embassy into fire and ashes ...".
The accused M.T. has, in this manner compromised the security of Internationally Protected Person, by making serious threat against his/her life and the official premises, thus committing the criminal offense of Endangering Internationally Protected Persons under Article 192, Paragraph 4 in conjunction with Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of BiH.
The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
