INDICTMENT ISSUED AGAINST THREE PERSONS FOR SMUGGLING OF PERSONS
29.03.2013. 15:10As alleged in the indictment, the accused I.B. has, on February 15, 2013 transported one citizen of the Republic of Albania, in his motor vehicle with registration plates of the Republic of Albania, for a fee of 500 Euros, from the territory of the Republic of Albania across the border crossing Hum-Sćepan Polje between the Republic of Montenegro and BiH and further to border crossing Doljani located in Čapljina municipality.
The indictment further alleges that on February 16, 2013 the accused I.B., crossed the border crossing in his vehicle and entered into the Republic of Croatia and instructed his Albanian passenger who was banned from entering the Republic of Croatia, to cross the border on foot on inaccessible parts of the terrain that are not designated border crossings, where the accused I.B. would wait for him so that they can both continue towards the territory of the Republic of Italy. He was prevented in his intention by members of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The indictment charges I.B. to have, motivated by greed, enabled another person to illegally cross the border, thereby committing the criminal offense of Smuggling of Persons under Article 189 Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of BiH.
The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
