TOMISLAV SAVIČIĆ (1972) CONCLUDED A PLEA AGREEMENT

A person accused of Smuggling of Persons entered into a plea agreement by admitting guilt.

The accused Tomislav Savičić, born on July 11, 1972 in Lukavac municipality, with permanent residence in Brod, citizen of BiH, who is charged with the criminal offense of Organized Crime under Article 250, Paragraph 2 of the CC BiH in conjunction with the criminal offense of Smuggling of Persons under Article 189, Paragraph 1 of the CC BiH, in conjunction with Article 54 of the CC BiH, concluded a plea agreement.

The Prosecutor proposed that the accused Tomislav Savičić be rendered an imprisonment sentence in the duration of at least one (1) year by the Court of BiH, as well as that he be imposed a security measure of permanent seizure of items used or intended for use in the criminal offense and all proceeds of crime.

By virtue of signing the agreement the accused person fully admitted committing the criminal offense he was charged with by the indictment of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.

He is charged with the criminal offense of Smuggling of illegal immigrants from Albania through the territory of BiH and further towards European Union countries.

The proposed sentence is in line with the role of the accused person in commission of the criminal offense.

By virtue of the plea agreement the accused has pledged to testify before the Court of BiH when summoned.

With this agreement the accused confirms that he is aware of the content of the indictment issued by the BiH Prosecutor's Office. He also confirms that the plea statement was given voluntarily, knowingly and with full understanding and undertakes to reimburse the costs of the criminal proceedings in the amount that may eventually be determined by the Court of BiH

Pursuant to this agreement the accused has waived his right to a trial and appeal to the criminal sanction that shall be rendered to him by the Court of BiH.

The agreement was submitted to the Court of BiH.
