EXHUMATION OF THE REMAINS OF VICTIMS KILLED IN THE PAST WAR WAS CARRIED OUT IN SAPNA MUNICIPALITY
05.11.2012. 15:12The recovered remains shall be transported to the Commemorative Centre Tuzla for forensic processing and collection of DNA samples. The DNA analysis of the remains shall be handled by the laboratory of the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP). Once the DNA analysis is completed the process of identification of the remains shall commence.
The exhumation was supervised by an Investigator of the Special Department for War Crimes within the Prosecutor's Office of BiH and attended by representatives of the BiH Institute for Missing Persons, a doctor working in the field of forensic medicine, workers and machinery of the Commemorative Center Tuzla and police officers of Sapna PS.
The Prosecutor's Office of BiH, along with other institutions involved in the process of tracing the missing persons in BiH, continues its activities in the process of tracing and exhuming the victims of the 1992 – 1995 war in all parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
