INDICTMENT ISSUED AGAINST MILAN DOBRANIĆ (1974)
20.09.2012. 15:22The accused Milan DOBRANIĆ is charged that on June 25, 2012 at about 8:05 PM he used back roads at the exit from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Montenegro, in the municipality of Trebinje in order to avoid customs and border control while transporting 3415 pieces of textile merchandise i.e. clothes whose estimated value is 86.983.50 BAM and for which he did not have documentation of the origin or the required documentation for export, in a motor vehicle "FIAT Ducati" owned by a third party.
The accused was stopped and controlled by officers of the Border Police of BiH while being engaged in such activities.
The accused is charged that in this manner, by way of avoiding customs control he attempted to move goods of larger value across the customs line, thereby committing the criminal offense of Smuggling of Goods under Article 214, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of BiH, in conjunction with Article 26 the same Code.
The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
