MOTION FOR CUSTODY FILED FOR FOUR SUSPECTS WITHIN THE "TITAN" OPERATION

The Assigned Prosecutor of the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption within the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, having questioned the suspects, filed a motion to remand all 4 persons, that the RS MoI arrested within the scope of the operation code-named "Titan" and handed over to the Prosecutor's Office of BIH, into custody.

Within the course of the investigation in this case the RS MoI submitted a report on committed criminal offense of Organized Crime (Article 250 of the CC BiH) and Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs (Article 195 of the CC BiH), against 9 identified and one unidentified person to the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.

Following the investigation, the RS Ministry of Interior arrested several persons and handed over, the four suspects to the Assigned Prosecutor, given that a number of suspects is already in prisons in BiH and other countries.

Having questioned the suspects, the Prosecutor filed a motion to the Court of BiH to remand the following suspects into custody for a period of 30 days:

-               R.Z. born in 1979

-               I.V. born in 1976

-               V.D. born in 1984, and

-               T.Z. born in 1987

Remand in Custody is requested on grounds stipulated in Article 132 Paragraph 1, Subparagraph a), b) and c) of the CPC BiH, i.e. due to risk of flight and the risk that if released the suspects might interfere with the investigation and influence witnesses or accomplices, and with regards of the suspect T.B. due to risk that if released the suspect could repeat the crime.

Custody motion was referred to the Court of BiH and the Prosecutor's Office continues its investigation in this case aiming for indictments.

This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
