INDICTMENT ISSUED AGAINST IVAN KOVIĆ FOR ILLICIT TRAFFICKING IN ARMS AND MILITARY EQUIPMENT
10.07.2012. 13:03The accused is charged to have committed the criminal offense - Illicit Trafficking in Arms and Military Equipment and Dual Use Products under Article 193, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of BiH.
As alleged in the indictment, the accused Ivan KOVIČ is charged to have, on June 26, 2012 at 3:30 pm at the border crossing Gradiška, transported a weapon without a permit required by legal provisions in BiH.
Namely the authorized officers of the Border Police of BiH have found a hidden automatic rifle "CZ" 7.62 mm, M-70 AB2, a magazine for the ammunition and a rifle grenade extension for the automatic rifle during the control of the motor vehicle.
According to the indictment, the accused has purchased the aforementioned weapon and ammunition for 450 Euros from a person known to him in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and has intended to take it out of Bosnia and Herzegovina into the Republic of Slovenia.
The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
