INDICTMENT ISSUED AGAINST MILOMIR PAŠALIĆ (1969)
06.07.2012. 13:29The accused is charged to have in the aim of obtaining financial gain, on May 2, 2012 at about 7:00 am at the IBC Šamac, in his capacity of an authorized official, while exercising his duty of supervision and control of border crossing at the entrance to Bosnia and Herzegovina, demanded and accepted in order to perform within the scope of his official powers an act, which ought not to be performed.
The indictment alleges that on this day he allowed for illegal border crossing of a family from Kosovo, which did not meet the requirements for legal border crossing, after accepting the cash gift in the amount of 100.00 Euros demanded in order perform an official act which ought not to be performed, hence he allowed the aforementioned family with invalid travel documents of Kosovo and without a valid entry visa to stay or transit through Bosnia and Herzegovina thus allowing for illegal border crossing, which is contrary to applicable legislation.
The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
