INDICTMENT ISSUED AGAINST ARMIN HRAPOVIĆ (1982)
22.06.2012. 13:01The indictment charges Armin HRAPOVIĆ to have, from early 2012 until the search of business premises on April 26, 2012, put into circulation, without permission of the author or another copyright holder, copyrights of various content and of various authors, i.e. movies, music releases, series, cartoons, games for PCs that were stored on DVD media, aware that those were illegal copies made contrary to applicable legal provisions on copyright and related rights in BiH.
As alleged in the indictment, on April 26, 2012, during the search of the business facility the officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency - SIPA found 1200 illegal copies of DVDs, which were seized.
The accused Armin HRAPOVIĆ is alleged to have put into circulation copyrighted works that were copied without permission of the author, other copyright holder or a person authorized to give approval, and as permission is required under the laws of BiH by doing so he committed the criminal offense of Impermissible Use of Copyrights under Article 243, Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of BiH .
The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
