EXHUMATION OF BODIES OF VICTIMS FROM THE PAST WAR CARRIED OUT IN SANSKI MOST
07.06.2012. 15:21At three sites, namely Kasapnica - Hambarine, Delića Šuma – Donja Tramošnja and Čapljinske Bare – Krnjadovac, in the Municipality of Sanski Most, mortal remains of three persons were exhumed from individual grave sites, and those victims are presumed to be of Bosniak ethnicity. The remains will be transferred to a pathology department in Šejkovača, Sanski Most, where they will be processed forensically, that is, the cause of death will be determined and bone samples collected for DNA analysis in order to establish the victims’ identities.
The exhumation process was supervised by an Investigator of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, who acted in accordance with the instructions of the Prosecutor while coordinating the work of police, forensic experts and other authorized persons engaged in the exhumation process. The exhumation was attended by representatives of the BiH Institute for Missing Persons, an expert forensic pahologist, as well as police officers of the Sanski Most Police Department who carried out the on-site investigation and secured the location.
The Prosecutor's Office of BiH, along with other institutions involved in the process of tracing the missing persons in BiH, continues its activities in the process of conducting exhumations and tracing missing persons in all parts of BiH.
