FORMER U.S. CONGRESSMAN, THOMAS PERRIELLO VISITED THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE OF BIH
10.05.2012. 15:05Mr. Perriello performed a variety of duties related to international humanitarian law in his career. He was a special adviser to the International Prosecutor in the Special Court for Sierra Leone, and has also worked as a consultant at the International Centre for Transitional Justice in Kosovo, Darfur and Afghanistan.
The representatives of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH informed Mr. Perriello about the history of the institution, its organization and the performance of the Special Department for War Crimes.
Mr. Perriello expressed his support to the work of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH in prosecution of war crimes, with the aim of establishing the rule of law and punishing those who committed war crimes in BiH.
This visit was organized with the help of the U.S. Embassy in BiH, the U.S. Department of Justice and OPDAT project in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
