INDICTMENT ISSUED FOR ENDANGERING INTERNATIONALLY PROTECTED PERSONS
11.04.2012. 13:51Department III of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH issued an indictment against M.T. born in 1964 in Kakanj where he resides, a citizen of BiH.
The indictment charges M.T. to have on May 20, 2010 at around 11:25 hr., while acting in a state of mental illness, called the telephone number of the Embassy of the Republic of Austria, and told the embassy employee that, "the embassy building will be the target of demonstration, and will be bombed with bags of paint ...".
The accused M.T. has, in this manner endangered the safety of an Internationally Protected Person, by making serious threat to attack him/her and his/her business premises, thus committing the criminal offense of Endangering Internationally Protected Persons under Article 192, Paragraph 4 in conjunction with Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of BiH.
The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
This announcement does not prejudice the outcome of the criminal proceedings and does not violate the principle of the presumption of innocence. A person shall be considered innocent of a crime until guilt has been established by a final verdict (Article 3, paragraph 1 of the CPC BiH).
