INDICTMENT ISSUED AGAINST FOUR PERSONS FOR SMUGGLING OF GOODS

The Prosecutor's Office of BiH issued an indictment against four people, charging them with the criminal offense of Smuggling of Goods under Article 214, Paragraph 2 in conjunction with Articles 26 and 29 of the Criminal Code of BiH.

Prosecutor of Department III within the Prosecutor's Office of BiH issued an indictment against the following persons:

-   Miladin ĐURDJEVIĆ, born on December 6, 1974. in Loznica, residing in the municipality of Bijeljina, BiH citizen,

-   Miladin VUČETIĆ, born on March 5, 1958 in Glavičice, municipality of Bijeljina, where he resides, a citizen of BiH,

-   Slobodan LUKIĆ AKA "Burda", born on September 20, 1988. in Loznica, residing in the municipality of Zvornik, BiH citizen, and

-   Elvir MEHMEDBEGOVIĆ, born on August 29, 1984 in Bijeljina, residing in the municipality of Ugljevik, citizen of BiH.

The indictment alleges that the accused Miladin ĐURĐEVIĆ has agreed with persons known to him from the Republic of Serbia, to transport live stock from the location of weekend village - Lozničko polje located in the Republic of Serbia. He also agreed with the accused Miladin VUČETIĆ, Slobodan LUKIĆ and Elvir MEHMEDBEGOVIĆ that they would participate with him in handover of contraband livestock, aware of the deal Miladin Đurđević made with persons from Serbia as well as of the lack of proper authorization of the competent Veterinary Office, and have nevertheless, agreed to it. On September 23, 2010 at around 20:05 hrs unidentified subjects who were in contact with Miladin ĐURĐEVIĆ who was at all times accompanied by Miladin VUČETIĆ, Slobodan LUKIĆ and Elvir MEHMEDBEGOVIĆ have, by avoiding measures of customs control, transported 5 (five) heads of cattle in a metal boat, specially made for smuggling cattle, across the river Drina - the state border, to the location of Srednji Šepak - weekend village in the municipality of Zvornik, where the aforementioned suspects were waiting for them, but were detected in their actions by officers Zvornik BP and thus prevented in commission of the criminal offense.

The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
