The meeting was held through video-teleconferencing from several locations and cities in BiH within the project of Strengthening Prosecutorial Capacities, which is being implemented by the HJPC of BiH.
According to the collected evidence, the suspects, in agreement with persons from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, carried out organized smuggling of illegal migrants across the river border on the Drina River.
It was concluded that the Decision of the HJPC BiH on the organization and provision of the necessary conditions for an unimpeded process of work in the institution had been fully complied with.
The accused Hamza Labidi (1998) is charged with having participated in the battlefields in Syria for several years, within formations that operated within the so-called “ISIL”.
The accused Emir Ališić (1970) is charged with having participated in paramilitary formations of the so-called “ISIL” for about six years.
Three persons, one of whom is a national of Egypt and two are nationals of Bosnia and Herzegovina, are charged with organized smuggling of a larger group of illegal migrants from the territory of Egypt.
The accused Milarem Berbić (1954) is charged with staying in Syria in the period from 2014 to 2019 and fighting in the structures of the so-called “ISIL”.
All respirators in the case were located, recorded and their expert analysis was carried out.
The central topics were the work and organisation of the institution in an emergency situation, coordination with partner institutions and law enforcement agencies, and the plan for the organisation of work in the coming period.
The aforementioned suspect is under investigation for smuggling of persons and was deprived of liberty when transporting 22 Pakistani nationals.
