INDICTMENT ISSUED FOR ILLICIT TRAFFICKING IN EXCISE PRODUCTS

- IBRAHIM MRVOLJAK, born in 1970 in Maglaj, with criminal record, a citizen of BiH.
The accused is charged that he, pursuant to an earlier agreement and for the agreed amount of money, in the area of Nevesinje illegally obtained more than 4,500 boxes of cigarettes of various types and brands, which were not marked with control and tax stamps prescribed by the tax legislation of BiH, with an intention to put them on the black market in BiH.
According to the indictment, in October last year the accused transported the said cigarettes in a passenger motor vehicle and while driving the said vehicle, he was discovered and prevented in his intentions during regular control by authorised officials of the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH.
The accused is charged with the criminal offence of Illicit Trafficking in Excise Products under Article 210a (1) of the Criminal Code of BiH in conjunction with Article 26 of the same Code.
The indictment has been forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
