In the continuation of the exhumation at the site of Lokvice-Golo Brdo on Mount Igman, mortal remains of at least ten (10) persons have been found so far.

Moreover, remains of victims’ clothes and personal items have been found, which could facilitate the process of identification.

The extraction of the bodies from the mass grave is underway, and the bodies will be transported to the dissecting room of the City Cemeteries of Visoko, where forensic processing and identification of the victims will resume.

Moreover, a detailed search of a wider area with a metal detector is being conducted with an aim of finding other mortal remains that may be present at the site.

The exhumation site was visited today by the representatives of the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals (IRMCT) from The Hague and the representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

The process of exhumation continues.
