As part of the visit, the visitors have been informed about the history of the institution of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, its achievements, as well as its activities of international cooperation.

A group of young educators and peace activists from the German Association of Educational Institutions – ADB visited the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina today.

The visitors were met by the official of the Special Department for War Crimes, Prosecutor Izet Odobašić, and the Head of the Public Relations Department, Boris Grubešić.  

The young activists expressed their interest in the work of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the history of the institution, efforts invested in prosecuting the criminal offenses of serious violations of international humanitarian law in war crimes cases, as well as in other segments within the scope of the activities of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The visitors were provided with the information and the statistical data about the work of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the fourteen (14) years of the existence of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Also, during this visit, the international cooperation of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina with its partner institutions and associations from the countries in the region, in Europe, and abroad, was emphasized.

The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which has indicted more than seven hundred (700) perpetrators of war crimes so far, represents a significant institution at an international level as well, in terms of prosecuting crimes of international humanitarian law, which has already been recognized by the international public as well, whereas the institution itself remains open for cooperation with organizations which are focusing on peacekeeping activities and the rule of law.
