CHIEF PROSECUTOR MET WITH THE DIRECTOR OF THE BORDER POLICE OF BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA
24.09.2014. 14:37Director Galić and his deputy informed the Chief Prosecutor about the irregularities regarding the illegal use of equipment for lawful interception of telecommunications which was established to have taken place by the management of Border Police in the previous period.
Chief Prosecutor received the information and results of the review identified by the Border Police, and stated that all allegations of illegalities must be thoroughly investigated and that any misuse of such equipment must be prevented, as well as the manipulation related to these events.
It was agreed that the Border Police will conduct a thorough investigation of these events and submit a report following a detailed inspection to the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.
Meeting participants pointed out that the use of equipment for lawful interception must be handled in accordance with the law.
