INDICTMENT ISSUED AGAINST PREDRAG STEVOVIĆ (1993) FOR SMUGGLING OF GOODS
08.05.2014. 15:38According to the allegations in the Indictment, on 12 March 2014, around 4.20 p.m., in the border region of Bileća Municipality, Stevović entered Montenegro from Bosnia and Herzegovina using the forest dirt road while carrying, unauthorized, eight (8) parcels or 400 cartons of cigarettes of various brands on him with the total market value of BAM 14,700.
On the very same day, in the place of Vlahinje in Bileća Municipality, the accused was stopped by a police patrol of the Trebinje Border Police Unit that was watching the aforementioned movement of the accused; during the search, the above-specified quantity of the smuggled cigarettes was confiscated from the accused.
In this manner, by avoiding measures of customs control, the accused moved across the customs line goods of larger value, whereby he committed the criminal offense of Smuggling of Goods, as referred to in Article 214, Paragraph 1, of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Indictment has been forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation.
