BY ORDER OF THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE OF BIH A JOINT POLICE OPERATION CODENAMED "ŠILING" WAS CARRIED OUT IN THE EFFORT TO FIGHT ORGANIZED CRIME AND INTERNATIONAL DRUG SMUGGLING. COOPERATION BETWEEN BIH AUSTRIA AND SLOVENIA
10.04.2014. 15:05During the course of this operation several persons were deprived of liberty and about 10 locations were searched. Among the suspects arrested are the members of motorcycle groups "Hells Angels" and "Red Devils".
Significant cooperation was achieved in this case between the prosecutors and police of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Austria and Slovenia. About 1.2 kilograms of hard drug "Heroin" was seized on several occasions.
These criminal groups were involved in the international arms trade that was prevented on one occasion during the actual trade of arms from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Austria.
The Prosecutor's Office of BiH has coordinated operational policing on the ground and evidence gathering for several months, in order to gather strong evidence against the perpetrators of the criminal offense of organized crime, who are, inter alia, members of motorcycle groups operating in BiH and abroad.
Persons deprived of liberty shall be handed over to the Assigned Prosecutor, within the legal deadline, who will question them and then decide on a motion for remand in custody.
The Prosecutor's Office of BIH once again emphasizes the importance of cooperation with the countries of the European Union on detection and prosecution of international organized crime groups, and underlines the good cooperation and joint operation of several BiH agencies in the fight against the worst forms of crime, in order to create the safest possible living environment for all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina in line with the European integration path of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
