By order of the Prosecutor of the Special Department for War Crimes within the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, police officers of SIPA have arrested the suspect Goran Sarić aka "Sara", born in 1964 in Konjic.

The Prosecutor's Office of BiH issued an indictment charging Goran Sarić with the criminal offense of genocide, under Article 171 of the CC BiH, in the Srebrenica area in July 1995.

The accused Sarić is charged to have, as commander of the Special Police Brigade - SPB within the RS MoI, along with other units of the army and police and aware of the intent of the principal perpetrators, knowingly assisted the members of the joint criminal enterprise to commit genocide in Srebrenica, which has resulted in forcible transfer of 40,000 residents - Bosniaks and execution of more than 8,000 Muslim men and boys, thus partially exterminating the Bosniak population from the Srebrenica enclave area.

The accused Sarić is charged to have commanded the police forces in the Srebrenica and the surrounding area in July 1995 that have participated in the raids and the forcible transfer of Bosniak population towards Potočari, disarmed the UN members and captured the position of the UN; and to have commanded the police forces which participated in the forcible transfer of population: women, children and the elderly and the separation of men and boys who would later be executed.

Furthermore, the accused Sarić is charged to have ordered the policemen to secure the road Bratunac - Konjević Polje and to capture thousands of Bosniak men and boys who have been trying to get out of the protected zone of Srebrenica through the woods and who were being fired at from infantry and artillery weapons and asked to surrender, and who would not receive any medical assistance after they surrendered even though some of them were seriously injured but were instead deprived of their personal belongings, after which the members of the SPB Jahorina executed about 15-20 Bosniaks by shooting them at a house in Sandići.

Afterwards, the members of the SPB Jahorina - Šekovići Detachment participated in the escort of hundreds of prisoners to the Agricultural Cooperative "Kravica", where about 1,000 of them were executed by firearms and hand grenades.

After the executions were carried out, members of the SPB Jahorina have tricked the survivors into coming out by promise of medical assistance only to shoot at the hundred survivors that came out from machineguns and infantry weapons. The police continued with bringing in more captured Bosniaks from Srebrenica and their shooting.

Furthermore, the accused is charged with ordering policemen to participate in the raids on the territory of  Kravica - Konjević Polje and Pobuđe - Crni Vrh with the aim of locating and capturing Bosniak men and boys who were trying to reach Tuzla walking in columns, which resulted with the capture and subsequent killing of several hundreds of victims.

The accused Goran Sarić is charged with having committed the criminal offense under Article 171 of the CC BiH.

Along with the indictment the Prosecutor's Office proposed that 50 prosecution witnesses be heard and attached hundreds of exhibits with proof of the guilt of the accused.
