INDICTMENT ISSUED AGAINST RATKO LAVRNIĆ (1966)
17.01.2012. 15:31Prosecutor of the Team I of the Special Department for War Crimes within the Prosecutor's Office of BiH issued an indictment against Ratko Lavrnić, born on August 15, 1966 in Jarice village - Ključ municipality, a citizen of BiH.
The accused Ratko Lavrnić is charged that during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, on February 10, 1993 in Rajzovići hamlet in Ključ municipality, as a member of the 17th Ključ Light Infantry Brigade, he violated the rules of International Humanitarian Law and the provisions of Article 3, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph a) of the Geneva Convention Relative to Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War and thus committed murder and attempted murder.
The accused is charged to have personally shot from an automatic rifle and killed three females and seriously wounded one male Bosniak.
The indictment of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH charges Ratko Lavrnić with the criminal offense of War Crimes against Civilians under Article 173, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph a) in conjunction with Article 180, Paragraph 1 of the CC BiH.
The indictment was forwarded to the Court of BiH for confirmation
