CYCLE OF SIX INTERNATIONAL JOINT EXERCISES OF LAW ENFORCEMENT INSTITUTIONS AND AGENCIES COMPLETED
Representatives of police, customs and judicial institutions participated in a joint exercise aimed at improving cooperation in the fight against illegal trade in small arms and light weapons. Through practical scenarios and exercises of situations at joint border crossings, coordination and action in simulated conditions were tested and practiced, with a focus on more efficient detection and prosecution of criminal offenses, as well as strengthening international cooperation.
The activities were attended by a prosecutor and representatives of the Investigation and Witness Support Department of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, who supervised the exercise process and provided suggestions and advice on what investigative actions should be carried out in order for the activities to be carried out in accordance with the law. The activities were implemented within the framework of the project "Improving Capacity of Law Enforcement Agencies in Field of Small Arms and Light Weapons" implemented by UNDP BiH.
