A MODULE FOR INVESTIGATIVE AUTHORITIES PRESENTED IN THE BIH PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE ELECTRONIC PUBLIC PROCUREMENT SYSTEM

This module is useful for law enforcement agencies, as it enables a proactive approach to conducting pre-investigative and investigative actions in case of suspected unlawful actions during public procurement procedures.

Also, it enables the use of tools for analyzing data from the e-Procurement system, which allows easier detection and prevention of irregularities, along with proactive notification of potential abuses.

The presentation of the module was attended by prosecutors and employees of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina engaged in cases of corruption and financial and economic crime, as well as by members of the State Investigation and Protection Agency - SIPA.

In the segment of public procurement of institutions at the level of the State of Bosnia and Herzegovina, large sums of money are spent on procurement on an annual basis, so preventing and prosecuting unlawful actions in this area is one of the key steps in the fight against corruption and in preventing and eradicating corrupt behavior in the process of public procurement and expenditure of budget money.
