INDICTMENT FILED AGAINST FADIL OMEROVIĆ* AND OTHERS

The Prosecutor’s Office of BiH filed an indictment against Fadil Omerović (1970), Almedin Grahić (1983) and Adil Đulić (1980) from Zvornik, citizens of BiH, who are charged that by the actions described in the indictment, they committed the criminal offence of Electoral fraud under Article 154 in conjunction with Article 29 of the Criminal Code of BiH.




DUTY PROSECUTOR OF BIH PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE ORDERS INVESTIGATION INTO MIGRANTS SMUGGLING ACROSS DRINA RIVER WITH FATAL CONSEQUENCES


Acting within his 24-hour duty, a prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH received information from BiH Border Police officers that while carrying out their regular activities in the area of Bratunac, they recorded an event in which unknown persons from the area of the Republic of Serbia attempted to smuggle a large number of migrants into BiH due to which the boat capsized into the Drina River. A group of migrants swam ashore and the bodies of several migrants were pulled from the river.

By order and on instructions of the duty prosecutor, the BiH Border Police officers, together with other relevant police structures, are taking measures and actions within their jurisdiction, all with the aim of gathering facts about the said event and submitting a report on the committed criminal offence.




DEPUTY CHIEF PROSECUTORS OF BIH PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE TAKE OATH IN BIH HJPC


After being appointed as Deputy Chief Prosecutors of the BiH Prosecutor’s Office, Mladen Furtula and Džermin Pašić signed a solemn statement in the premises of the BiH High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council on the occasion of taking office.
The newly appointed deputies will take office on 26 August 2024.



REPRESENTATIVE OF BiH PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE ELECTED TO BiH HJPC


Prosecutor Bojana Jolović has been elected as a member of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of BiH from among the prosecutors of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina instead of the former representative - Prosecutor Biljana Simeunović, whose mandate is expiring.

The newly appointed representative of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina will take office in early November this year.
