OVERVIEW OF THE MOST IMPORTANT ACTIVITIES FOR THE WEEK BETWEEN 29 JULY AND 2 AUGUST 2024

INDICTMENT FILED AGAINST IGOR BUŠATLIJA AKA ‘LEDENI’ BECAUSE OF CRIMINAL OFFENCE OF ORGANISED CRIME DEFINED IN ARTICLE 250 (2) OF CRIMINAL CODE OF BiH*

The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina filed an indictment against Igor Bušatlija aka ‘Ledeni’, born in 1979 in Travnik, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia, because of a well-founded suspicion that he committed the criminal offence of Organised crime defined in Article 250 (2) of the Criminal Code of BiH, in conjunction with the criminal offence of Illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs defined in Article 195 (1) of the Criminal Code of BiH.

Evidence from the Sky and Anom applications was used in the case.

CUSTODY MOTION AGAINST SUSPECT SMAIL MUTLU*

The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina submitted a motion that Samil Mutlu, born in 1995 in Türkiye, citizen of Türkiye, be ordered into custody. The custody was proposed for the reasons set out in Article 132 (1) (a) of the Criminal Procedure Code of BiH.

The suspect is charged with the criminal offence of Smuggling of persons defined in Article 189 (1) of the Criminal Code of BiH, as read with paragraphs 4 and 3 thereof.

CUSTODY MOTION AGAINST SUSPECTS MARKO SAVIČIĆ AND GOJKO CVJETINOVIĆ*

The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina submitted a motion that custody the suspects Marko Savičić, born in 1998 in Milići, and Gojko Cvjetinović, born in 1966 in Srebrenica, be ordered into custody. The custody was proposed for the reasons set out in Article 132 (1) (a) and c) of the Criminal Procedure Code of BiH.

The suspects are charged with the criminal offence of Smuggling of persons defined in Article 189 (1) of the Criminal Code of BiH, as read with paragraphs 4 and 3 thereof.

EXHUMATION CARRIED OUT IN DOBOJ AREA

On 30 July 2024, the exhumation was carried out in the area of the city of Doboj, at the Buljubašića glavica site. No skeletal remains were found at the said site.

MOTION THAT PROHIBITION MEASURES BE ORDERED AGAINST SUSPECT SENAD HASOVIĆ*

The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina submitted a motion that prohibition measures be ordered against the suspect Senad Hasović, born in 1980 in Doboj. It was proposed that the prohibition measures defined in Article 126 (1) and (2) and Article 126a (1) (c) of the Criminal Procedure Code of BiH be ordered.

The suspect is charged with the criminal offence of Organised crime set out in Article 250 (2) of the Criminal Code of BiH in conjunction with the criminal offence of Money laundering set out in Article 205 (1) of the Criminal Code of BiH.
