PROTOCOL ON MUTUAL COOPERATION SIGNED BETWEEN PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BIH AND SUPREME STATE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF MONTENEGRO

On this occasion, the Protocol on mutual cooperation in the fight against all forms of serious crime was signed.

This protocol will allow for the prosecutor’s offices of the two countries to exchange information more quickly, carry out necessary checks and achieve other forms of cooperation in the fight against organised crime and all forms of serious crime.

Given that the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the State Prosecutor’s Office of Montenegro are working on several cases in which criminal offences take the form of cross-border and international crime that includes persons from the territory of Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina, this protocol will allow for faster and direct cooperation in the cases which, for the purpose of their more efficient processing, require urgency in taking actions and handling.

In a short tour, Chief Prosecutor Kajganić presented the premises and technical capacities of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH to his colleagues from Montenegro.

The protocol enters into force on the date of its signing, that is, on 10 July 2024.
