The Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milanko Kajganić, together with his advisors, met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Finland to Bosnia and Herzegovina, H.E. Kalle Kankaanpaa, who also covers the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina from the Embassy in Zagreb.
The meeting was also attended by Mr. Mika Aalto, a prosecutor from Finland, who is an international expert within the EU4JUSTICE project responsible for carrying out activities related to strengthening the capacities of the Anti-Corruption Section of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The meeting discussed the activities that are being implemented within the EU4JUSTICE project and relate to the strengthening the capacities for fighting corruption and organized crime, namely the activities in which the government of the Republic of Finland can provide assistance.
The Chief Prosecutor presented to the visitors the activities and results of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina pertaining to the fight against corruption, as well as the efforts to strengthen these capacities, primarily the Anti-Corruption Section operating in the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the capacities of partner police and security agencies in this area.
The participants of the meeting agreed that the educational activities in the field of fighting corruption within the framework of the EU4JUSTICE project will continue in the coming period.
