The exhumation was carried out at the site of the village of Šahbegovići, in the municipality of Sokolac, during which the skeletal remains of one person were found.
According to available information, these are probably the remains of the Bosniak victim who went missing in 1992. The identity of the missing person will be determined by DNA analysis of the remains found. The exhumation process on the ground was led by an investigator of the Special Department for War Crimes of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and representatives of the Institute for Missing Persons of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the International Commission for Missing Persons (ICMP) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, a forensic examiner and police officers of the East Sarajevo Police Department attended it.
