INDICTMENT ISSUED FOR ILLICIT TRADE IN EXCISE GOODS- APPROXIMATELY 2.8 TONS OF TOBACCO OF HIGHER VALUE

The Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina issued an indictment against Robert Kolobarić, born in 1972 in Široki Brijeg, with prior convictions, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia.

INDICTMENT ISSUED FOR ILLICIT TRADE IN EXCISE GOODS- APPROXIMATELY 2.8 TONS OF TOBACCO OF HIGHER VALUE

According to the allegations in the indictment, the accused Kolobarić is charged with engaging in illicit trade in excise products for the purpose of acquiring unlawful material gain, or unlawfully producing a larger amount of tobacco using a tobacco cutting machine, with the intention of selling it, which tobacco was not marked with control and tax stamps in the manner prescribed by the tax legislation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

During the search of the family house, auxiliary buildings and vehicles in Široki Brijeg, which was carried out by authorized officers of the Ministry of the Interior of the West Herzegovina Canton, a total of 2839 kilograms of cut tobacco and tobacco in leaves were found and confiscated, together with an electric tobacco cutting machine and some digital scales.

The accused is charged with the commission of the criminal offence of Illicit Trade in Excise Products, referred to in Article 210a, paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
 
The indictment was forwarded to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for confirmation, and the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina subsequently confirmed it.
