THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE OF BIH, THE REPUBLIKA SRPSKA MINISTRY OF THE INTERIOR AND THE SARAJEVO CANTON MINISTRY OF THE INTERIOR CONDUCT AN OPERATION IN THE CASE CODENAMED “KUM” WITH EVIDENCE FROM THE “SKY” AND “ANOM” APPLICATIONS

Within the case codenamed “Kum” /Godfather/, under the supervision of a prosecutor from the Sky Team of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, police officers of the Republika Srpska Ministry of the Interior and the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of the Interior are conducting searches of buildings and arresting suspected persons in several locations in the area of Foča, Sarajevo and other cities.

The investigation in this case also relates to the criminal offence of corruption, because one of the suspects, an active police officer of the Border Police of BiH, is charged that he, for unlawful property gain, falsely certified documents to the members of the criminal organisation for their alleged crossing of the border, in which way he provided alibies to them for the times when the criminal offences were committed.

The suspects are under investigation and are charged with organised crime related to international smuggling and distribution of large quantities of narcotic drugs on the illegal drug market.
